In our How To Build Community podcast, we share stories of community-building from around the world. Our Communications Co-ordinator JAKE LLOYD is its presenter, and here he shares news of an exciting new development for the show...
Each month, I get to speak with someone behind an exciting, innovative community projects or idea. From British barbers to Lebanese birdwatchers, Kenyan football coaches to Gazan psychiatrists, and Indian Social Workers to Zimbabwean academics. The voices and stories are always different, but the intent is always the same: to learn How To Build Community.
I love making the show, and it seems like we're building a small, but diverse and loyal following: we now have listeners in over fifty countries.
But we don't want to stop there!
We're now making the show available to broadcast on community radio stations around the world. We've created 15 and 30 minute versions of the show's episodes, and now we're starting to contact stations to offer it to them for free. A few stations have already signed up, but we would love for more people to hear it, and we would also love you to play a part in promoting it!
Here's what you can do:
Recommend us to your local community radio station: why not research what stations are near you, then contact them and put them in touch us?
Become a patron of the show: Sign up to support the creation and distribution of the show on our 'Patreon' page here, and in return access some exciting benefits!
Sponsor the show: We'd love to find a like-minded organisation to sponsor the show. Contact us if you're interested, or if you know someone who might be.
Review us on your podcast player: If you listen to us on a podcast app, then please leave us a nice review! It will help more people here the show.
And don't forget to listen to the show! It's on our Soundcloud page here.
