THE STORY
The Cluster is located in Kitale town, Kenya. It's widely known as the bread basket of Kenya due to it's high agricultural productivity
The town is diverse and quickly growing. However, dependency and illiteracy levels are still high, and there is too much exposure to health risks amongst vulnerable groups.
The Cluster consists of 12 groups including women groups, youth groups, people living with disabilities, farmers and teen mothers. Their goal is to work together by pooling their skills and resources to impact their community.
WHAT THEY'RE DOING
Improving Food Security
The group aims to start a dairy goat project to sustain themselves and grow their agricultural skill.
Achieving Financial Stability
The group uses the table banking model with proceeds going into administrative work, investment, savings and seed funds.

MEET A MEMBER
Having observed closely the plight that community members go through, having to battle daily, I felt that it's important to tap into the idea of Arukah to help them synchronize their objectives while establishing networking.

Dominic Mbago is a pastor and community change agent.
As the Cluster mobiliser, he is using his vast experience as a civic educator, peace ambassador and budget champion to enable women, the youth, people living with disabilities, farmers and teen mothers to work together and impact their communities.
